Hi, I’m Lana and I am a qualified teacher of Science. Over the past year it has been wonderful getting to know my tutees and working with them to achieve their goals – and in some instances, exceed initial targets set! The best moments of working as a private tutor involve building strong relationships with my tutees and tutee parents by spending the time to learn about my pupils abilities, needs and interests. This means I can tailor my resources and approaches for personalised learning to take place.

What I look forward to the most is when pupils are able to ask questions about what we are learning and topics that are related to what we are learning – these are great opportunities to link what we are learning about in the real world and its great being able to discuss curious ideas and fun facts as these reinforce motivation, engagement and making learning fun!
