Hi, I’m Zoë. I’m an experienced primary school teacher, qualified since 2013, and have taught in a variety of settings across Yorkshire since. I’ve worked across the whole primary age range and with all abilities and needs. I have particular experience in KS2 and SATs preparation in Y6. I believe in a broad and balanced education and exploring students’ interests as part of equipping them with the skills they need to be successful, whatever success might mean for them.
I look forward to getting to know students and planning learning specifically tailored for them, so they can get the most out of their lessons. My aims are to encourage curiosity in learning and promote self-confidence. Questions are always encouraged, and I try to plan a variety of ways to explain a concept, so that I can teach it in different ways should the first one not “click” for the student.
When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy crochet and knitting, and trying out all sorts of crafty things. I love being creative and find joy in making something with my own hands. I’m proud that many of my crochet designs have been published in magazines and with yarn companies. I also enjoy getting out for a gentle walk in the outdoors, and settling down with a book in the evenings. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you!
